Student / Teacher
$0
Pay What You Want: minimum $0.
For students, art schools, teachers, learning, personal non-commercial work, nonprofit organizations, and creators working for nonprofits.
Fonts are licensed, not sold. This page keeps the legal terms aligned with the simple AP.CX promise: one font, one fair price, all features included.
When you buy or receive permission to use a paid AP.CX font, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the font software under the tier you selected. You do not own the font software or its intellectual property.
Unless a product page or separate written agreement says otherwise, the tiers below are the default scope for paid AP.CX fonts.

Student covers students, art schools, teachers, learning, personal non-commercial work, nonprofit organizations, and creators working for nonprofits.
Creator covers normal professional and client work for individuals, freelancers, small studios, and small businesses, up to 1 million printed items per year and 1 million website visitors per year.
Scale is the fixed $2,000 license for standard large-scale commercial use. It acts like Creator, but with no limit.
Custom Scale is separate and starts at $2,000 for OEM use and redistribution.
If your use changes or expands beyond the tier you selected, you must obtain the appropriate upgraded or custom license.
AP.CX does not split paid variable fonts into small packages. A paid license includes the available package for that release.
Some typefaces are offered as trial fonts so you can test them before buying a full license. We encourage that. Use trials for evaluation, layout tests, mockups, and internal or client presentations.
Trial fonts are not licensed for final commercial, public, production, or client deliverable use. The current trial glyph set is:
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789/().!?@&Some AP.CX fonts are free or open source. If a font is distributed under an open-source license, that open-source license controls the rights for that font. If a font is built on another open-source font, we commonly distribute it as open-source too.
For open font releases such as SquareBot Sans, the preferred license is the SIL Open Font License 1.1. In plain terms, it allows use, embedding, modification, and redistribution under the conditions of the OFL.
We believe in open source because sharing tools and source helps others learn. Paid fonts are also important: they support the drawing, engineering, testing, documentation, and maintenance that make future releases possible.
Unless a product page or separate written agreement says otherwise, you may not:
All rights, title, and interest in the fonts, including all copyright and related intellectual property rights, remain with ap.cx or the relevant rights holder.
If the price is still too high, contact us and explain why. We can grant you the right to use the font when the normal price does not fit the project.
If you have an open-source project involving fonts or AP.CX tools, contact us. If it fits, we may be happy to participate.
Contact usThis license terminates automatically if you materially breach its terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the font software and delete all copies in your possession or control, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Fonts, including free and trial fonts, are provided as-is, without any guarantee that they will meet every technical, commercial, or compatibility requirement of your workflow. Nothing in this license excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
