Intent, use, and provenance

Rounded strokes, uneven pressure and restrained pen accidents preserve the movement of left-handed writing. LeftyNote suits personal notes, expressive headlines, classroom materials and informal annotations.

Regular 400 and Bold 700 share the same handwriting vocabulary. Contextual alternates vary repeated letters and figures; ligatures and stylistic sets offer further gestures.

Lining, oldstyle, proportional and tabular figures sit alongside fractions, small numerals, combining marks and selected Greek and mathematical symbols. Mathematical signs retain intentional proportional widths; there is no advanced OpenType MATH layout table.

  • Stronger Bold, rebuilt OpenType features and corrected capital parentheses and brackets; plus, minus and equals remain unchanged.
  • Public beta available at 50% off during development. Purchases include the final version under the same license tier.

Known issues

  • The Bold e.alt2 retains the earlier lighter drawing; this is a documented beta limitation.
  • Mathematical sign widths are intentionally proportional. No OpenType MATH layout table.
  • Preview & Print embedding (fsType 4) is retained; editable-document acceptance remains pending.
  • Application support beyond recorded checks is not certified.
